Description

I have observed NGC 6342 two times:

* 24 September 2016 at the Okie-Tex Star Party using a 12” Skywatcher Dobsonian: This globular cluster was just visible at 87x. It appears to be moderately concentrated.

* 6 July 2024 at the General Nathan Twining Observatory (GNTO) in New Mexico using a 22” Doc Telescope LaserMAX II Dobsonian: This globular cluster is a small, dim patch that brightens slightly towards the center. No stars resolved and no color noted

I obtained the calibrated lights frames used to create the final image from Telescope Live. The frames were imaged by the CHI-1-CMOS Telescope at the El Sauce Observatory in Chile.
