Description

An exercise in cosmic contrast, NGC6914 is a combination reflection/emission nebula sitting within the Northern Hemisphere constellation of Cygnus.  The blue glow from the scattered light of the three central stars helps to illuminate the faint details within their surrounding dust cloud.  A strong red hydrogen alpha cloud dominates the background of the image, exhibiting intricate details in the surrounding dust lanes.

This image is the first of many from our Planewave CDK17 located at Deep Sky West.  Mounted on a matching Planewave L500, this rig has been an absolute workhorse and has generated numerous production worthy datasets.  We look forward to pushing through our data backlog and sharing our work!
