Description

This data was captured from my Dad's house in Brookings, OR on his 70th birthday and the following night.

On the first night, my imaging PC froze about 60 frames in so I didn't get a full set of data. Even if it had continued, the latter third of the data appeared to be ruined by dew. Apparently I need a stronger dew heater.

I was able to get a few hours of imaging done on the second night before clouds rolled in and shut me down.

All told, I was able to get about 5.5hrs of total integration. I saw the guiding numbers on the CEM70 go below .5" so I know it's doing its job well.

The moon was out on both nights so I had some major gradients going on that I had to deal with but turned out rather well by the end. I ran LinearPatternSubtraction on by split RGB channels in the linear phase this time and I think it helped to reduce linear pattern noise even further in the final image. It's a lengthy process but it appears to be worth keeping in my workflow.

Happy birthday, Dad!
