Description

Hi all,
I am so happy with this image.  We have had a terrible summer here north of Boston MA, due to high humidity, lots of rain, smoke from Canadian forest fires, it has just been wicked tough to image.  On top of that, we have short nights.  So once I get set up, if I am lucky I have about 5 hours to get a target.  So last night, we had a clear night. Other than some pesky clouds, things looked good.  So what target did I go for?  One high in the night sky?  Far away from the light pollution from cities between me and Boston, including Boston??!!  I went for a target that doesn't get any higher than 25 degrees above the horizon!  Messier 20!  Next to the Veil nebula, it is one of my favorites, and we here only have about maybe a month to get it before it sinks below the horizon.  So far, am I still consider myself a beginner, this is one of my best attempts.  I was able to image for about 2.5 hours before the clouds came back in from the south.  Well worth the effort!  Clear Skies
Mark
