not to do), I feel as though I need to offer this disclaimer: In some respects, I am happy with this image. I recently came to a mechanical set-up (accidentally) resulting in far better guiding. I like the stars ... the color and contrast ... and I always learn (something new) when processing with my Astro mentor
@Terry Hancock . The Askar FRA600 is also performing nicely. My new Antlia Triband RGB filter is awesome.
Nevertheless, eleven hours was just not enough to capture the Squid like I was hoping for ... including over four+ hours last night - in vain - under very nice dark skies trying to capture more of the Squid with an Oiii filter. So I'll move on to targets more within my
reach ... and hope to add more to this image further down the line ....
Perhaps the weather has turned for the better here in northern New England?
Hopefully, the incessant wild-fire smoke from the north is done?
