Description

Well, this one was a disappointment for me.  I was able to image 85 three minute frames last night of the Wizard Nebula.  Out of the 85, Pix took 75, so not too bad.  But when I got the registered image, before the processing began, it seems I was ever so slightly out of focus for the entire run!  AGGGHHH!  Astrophotgraphy is great, when you get it right!  So I just wanted to say this about AI.  AI, in products like BlurX, and NoiseX is amazing.  A real game changer.  However, that being said, it still can only salvage some bad original data.  I mean, I am amazed that it did as well as it did to make this image not totally suck!  I do believe in sharing some of our not so great images, as this is how we learn to get better.  I am a professional TV camera person.  Focus is so important to me, that when I get it wrong...well...I currently am not using auto focus.  I manually focus, with a remote ZWO focuser.  I do use a bahtinov mask, but I guess sometimes I get it wrong!  Or it drifts....yeah, that's it!!  Anyway.  I will be going back to try to get this target even better next time.  Might have to go to 300 sec images, as it is fairly dim.  Good luck, and clear skies
Mark
