Description

M45 is one of the nearest star clusters to earth and is mostly composed of hot, blue, and luminous spectral class B stars that are less than 100 million years old.

This image was taken with the brand new Apertura Carbon Star 150mm Imaging Newtonian from Apertura. M45 barely fits into the FOV and I was actually just taking some test images to get a feel for exposure times on brighter stars.  I ended up liking this close up view of The Pleaides and took almost 6 hours of 60" subs for the reflection nebula and 10 second subs for the stars.

I want to thank Apertura for allowing me to beta test this new scope.  It's my first time imaging with a reflector and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  Imaging with 6" of aperture at F 3.8 is a blast!

Thanks for looking!
