I've been into astronomy my whole life bought my first telescope in 1999 and got into imaging in 2001. I started off with a Pentax K1000 and then bought a Starlight Express MX7 to use with my LX10 - all quite dated today. I progressed to an STL1100 and Epsilon 160 until in 2009 I decided to take a break. This hobby can become all consuming.
Now the hobby seems to have advanced, some of the images I see on this site are amazing so I've decided to dive back in. I picked up a modified Cannon 6D a Z61 and Sky Guider Pro - so let's see how it goes.
Well it’s a year latter and I’ve taken the plunge two imaging rigs later and I’m fully emersed in the hobby! Someone stole my 6D when we were moving house so that was an excuse to buy a CMOS camera and the rest just happened.
Astrophotography, Drumming and Windsurfing - though not at the same time
