Space has always interested me. In Y2018 I bought a small telescope for my son - in order to show him the Moon - the scope was a Celestron Powerseeker 50AZ. However I was very surprised to be able to see Saturn and Jupiter. That got me very excited and at that moment I knew that I wanted to dive in with full force into astro.
I started to read about telescopes and found the type that appeals to me most, even to this day - the Schmidt–Cassegrain design.
In Y2019 I bought a Nexstar Evolution 6 scope. Back then I found out that I needed a camera If I wanted to see anything. This is when I started with astrophotography.
At the moment I use every clear night to capture the night sky. I image from the city of Sofia from my observatory - The Unreal observatory. It is not an actual observatory but that is why it is called "Unreal". The observatory is my terrace that is situated on the last floor of a block of flats. I have created a wooden wind shield which I assemble prior to every session. I have an equatorial mount - the CEM 70 as well as my favorite scope - the RASA 8 + my favorite astro cam - the ASI 2600 MC Pro. For the moment I image with a color camera. In the future I wish for a bigger EdgeHD scope but time will show how things will develop. Those planets, small galaxies and small planetary nebulae are quite interesting. And I can cover wide field astrophotography with my RASA.
Clear skies!
Computers - hardware, software and especially Gaming. Starcraft is my thing.
