I'm 24, and live in São Paulo, Brazil. After finishing my undergrad in Industrial Engineering, I'm currently pursuing a PhD in the same area. Astronomical photography caught my interest after buying a DSLR camera in 2012, and since then I have been imaging the night sky mostly from a dark rural site about 300km from home, where my grandparents lived. Knowledge, equipment and images progressively evolved in the past 10 years of hobby - a significant part of which is documented in my gallery.
My main focus is on broadband images of deep sky objects, using DSLRs with widefield camera lenses or a 150mm newtonian telescope. I love to shoot different, challenging or seldom imaged targets, or presenting known objects with a unique perspective. I always strive to push my relatively simple equipment, trying to extract as much as possible from it.
To me, astrophotography is a continous journey of discovery, learning and awe, the perfect blend of art, science and technology. Through the hobby I made some very good friends, and it is a way to explore, display and share the beauty of the Universe.
