Description

This object is a small faint reflection nebula located 3000 light years away in the constellation of Camelopardalis at a declination of +61 degrees.  The nebula surrounds the blue star HD 20798, which is an 8.4 magnitude star.  The nebula is 6 arc-minutes long, which at that distance corresponds to a length of 5 light years.

The nebula dissipates in an interesting, inconsistent way as it extends out from the star to the lower left.  Little nebulosity is seen extending to the upper right of the star for some reason.

At f/10, my setup is too slow to capture much detail here without many more hours of integration.
