Description

NGC4631 - The Whale (and Calf - NGC4627) Galaxies

Viewed edge-on barred spiral galaxy in constellation Canes Venatici (the Hunting Dogs)
Shows bright central starburst region with blue star clusters in the arms
NGC4627 (the calf) is a dwarf spheroidal galaxy just below the Whale’s belly
25M LY distant and similar in size to our Milky Way

Unguided 30 second subs. Increases the computer processing time but makes capture simpler and seems to make processing easier as well.
