@Rolf Dietrich, I always thought this area looked interesting and so gave it a go myself.
We had a night and a half of clear skies down here on the South East coast of the UK and I managed to get 11 hours of subs. A couple of issues along the way, most of the subs from the first night were showing as clear outliers when I put everything into Subframe Selector in PixInsight. The FWHM was much higher so maybe the seeing was worse or my focus was off. In the end I only stacked about 7 hours.
I also wanted to shoot broadband stars separately and combine them, on my last image I think I finally found a star stretching method that gave me nice star colour. I should have removed my filter and put an hour in on the stars before the night was over but I was being lazy and thought I would do it another night. We now look to be clouded over for a week or two and I know I'll end up moving onto something else on the next clear night, I live and learn!
