Description

NGC 7293 is a large planetary nebula spanning about 2.5 light-years, approximately 700 light-years from Earth, and can be seen in the constellation Aquarius. It is known as the ‘Helix Nebula’ and sometimes as the ‘Eye of God’.   

This RGB image was augmented by Ha (for the outer nebulosity only) and processed in PixInsight.
