Description

MWP 1 is a faint planetary nebula in the constellation of Cygnus, also known as The Methuselah Nebula. It is 4,500 light years from Earth and roughly 150,000 years old. The central star is not a white dwarf, but a pulsating star.
Imaged from my backyard, it is so faint I had to add over 20 hours of HOO to get any details out of it! Stars are RGB.

Processed using HOO and had to do a good deal of gradient removal due to backyard data! There is some faint Ha nebulosity I tried to retain. The OIII areas had a lot of detail to bring out.
