Description

Tonight was an unexpected night for imaging.  Well, it started off clear, and then a high thin layer of clouds started showing up.  I decided to pick one of the brightest targets in the sky, knowing that I might only have a short time for imaging.  Orion fit the bill.  I also decided to do a two filter run, which I have never done before.  I started with my Lumicon Oiii filter to see what Orion looks like in Oiii.  Then I switched to my Optolong RGB filter to get the rest of the colors.  Given the deteriorating conditions through my short run, I am actually very happy with this image.  I also had to learn the art of merging two images in PhotoShop.  Thanks to my friend Dave from Rust Astro Images.  Clear Skies!
Mark
