Description

Hi all,
My first attempt of NGC 7380, at 1450mm, last week, was not successful.  I did post it, as I feel it is good to sometimes show our, not so good, attempts at imaging as a learning process.  But try number two was much better.  First of all, I got my focus much better.  That always helps!  I was able to image 85 frames, but only ended up using 69, as I had some bloating of stars.  Possibly due to poor guiding, and atmospheric effects, or both.  But was happy with 69 usable images.  My first attempt at processing using Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch, on Pix, was ok. So I asked my friend Dave, who is much better at processing astro images than I am, to help me out.  He was able to pull out a lot more detail than I was.  He shared my image back to me, I made a few minor tweaks in Photoshop, and here is the end result!  Nothing like collaboration!  Clear Skies
Mark
