Description

Imaged the conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter on the night of March 13, 2024.  The 3 days old waxing gibbous Moon was 23% illuminated and passed ~3.5 degrees from Jupiter.  All four of Jupiter's Galilean satellites are visible in the image.

Imaged with a Nikon D750 and 28-300 mm Nikon zoom lens at 300 mm focal length and F/5.6.  Single exposure of 1 second at ISO-1600.

Processed using PixInsight:  blurXterminator, noiseXterminator, generalized hyperbolic stretch, and curves adjustment.
