A Thousand Suns - The Recent Supernova Event (SN 2024gy) in NGC 4216

I recently caught wind of a new supernova explosion, SN 2024gy, in the NGC4216 galaxy. It get me so excited since I've been into such thing for ages.

SN 2024gy took place in Jan. 4th, and it's a Type Ia supernova. It took me several nights to complete the image using a C925HD telescope, with an exposure time of 14 hours. Thanks to the Bortle-7 condition and some haze, the SNR is not that satisfactory. But that's not a problem to me, I really enjoy the moments imaging a supernova. I mean, come on! It's a supernova, dude! The grandest spectacle in the whole universe!

Finally, I would like to quote some paragraphs from Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 11: The Universal Form to describe such event.
Chapter 11, Verse 10-11
Arjuna saw in that universal form unlimited mouths and unlimited eyes. It was all wondrous. The form was decorated with divine, dazzling ornaments and arrayed in many garbs. He was garlanded gloriously, and there were many scents smeared over His body. All was magnificent, all-expanding, unlimited. This was seen by Arjuna.

If hundreds of thousands of suns rose up at once into the sky, they might resemble the effulgence of the Supreme Person in that universal form.
Chapter 11, Verse 13
At that time Arjuna could see in the universal form of the Lord the unlimited expansions of the universe situated in one place although divided into many, many thousands.
Chapter 11, Verse 14
Then, bewildered and astonished, his hair standing on end, Arjuna began to pray with folded hands, offering obeisances to the Supreme Lord.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
