Description

Ancient supernova remnant dating back to about 10,000 years ago, a true gem of deep space. The nebula is about 1500 AL from the solar system, and what is now visible are very faint filaments, still expanding at the speed of tens of km / s. Within a few millennia this beauty of the northern sky will disappear, because a high rate of expansion also corresponds to a high dispersion index of its matter, which will soon exhaust its energy received during the explosion, and will disperse in the interstellar medium.
