M42 not to be presented with a very affordable grab and go smart telescope seestar50. I thought it was a pure gadget and it is true that it is much more limited that my other setup but when you cannot setup a complete dedicated equipement (much more expensive) I am quite surprised about what you can achieve with some postprocessing with PI starting from all the subframes that you can download to a PC or mac later.

Title: version sans drizzle dans Pixinsight

Description: The original and final image is using drizzle in pixinsight. The seestar is undersampling a bit and I thought drizzling would improve some details. I then processed the same image without drizzling (both come with Pixinsight). Paradoxically, there are some are of the non drizzle image that shows more details but the main difference is that there are some "holes" in this image compared to the drizzled one. This is very visible at the top right. It is not related to stretch as I checked with auto stf on the linear images. The same structure is barely visible but it is much more difficult to let it appear on the non drizzled image. I will do another check with extended integration time as soon as possible.

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
