Description

This SHO image of the Jellyfish Nebula was acquired from my backyard observatory over 11 nights throughout November and December 2022.  I framed the picture and processed the data to bring out the plume of nebulosity that rises from behind the head of the jellyfish, the blue halo around the main nebula, to capture the faint dust background and to show the reflection nebula around the star 12 Gem at the top right.

All of the subframes were narrowband exposures of 480s with unity camera gain and almost all were at -20C.  Total integration was for 19.7 hours:
Ha/NII 5nm 43x480s
SII 3nm.       41x480s
OIII 3nm.     64x480s
