Description

It was clear when I went outside but that didn't last and I fought with clouds most of the night. The clouds finally shut me down. I took 85 light frames but only 31 were usable due to clouds and even some of those were questionable. I've imaged this object a lot because I like the object and I keep trying to get a really good image of this object. When I began stretching the data on this image I noticed that the color was different than what I had been used to. I've had the inside of the nebula come out white before. I've had it come out blue. I've had it come out different shades of red. Normally if I have trouble with the color in this object I just push it into the red. I don't even know how many times I reprocessed this image trying to get something that pleased me. I finally manipulated the color and pushed it into the red. However I did not like the way it looked. It did not look natural. I even did an automatic color enhancement and that brought out the exact same colors except they were more exagerated. Finally I decided to reprocess the image and just let the color go where it wanted to as I was stretching the data. I did not manipulate the color at all. I just attempted to bring out what was there. With all that said please enjoy my most recent image of NGC 2244 the Rosette Nebula.
