M 22 (noto anche come NGC 6656) è un ammasso globulare situato nella costellazione del Sagittario; si tratta del quinto in ordine di luminosità di tutta la volta celeste ed è individuabile pure ad occhio nudo.Contiene circa 100.000 stelle
È anche uno dei quattro ammassi globulari noti a possedere al suo interno una nebulosa planetaria.


M 22 (also known as NGC 6656) is a globular cluster located in the constellation of Sagittarius; it is the fifth in order of brightness of the entire celestial vault and can also be identified with the naked eye. It contains about 100,000 stars
It is also one of the four globular clusters known to have a planetary nebula inside.
