Description

This planetary nebula is located in the constellation of Aquila at a declination of +2 degrees.  I could find very little information on this PN.  It is unusual to find an Abell PN for which the distance has not been identified.

The PN is oddly shaped, perhaps by interaction with the ISM.  It looks like a “3”.  The strong red color is due the dominant HII signal, with little OIII.  The progenitor star appears to be the small blue star at the center of the nebula.
