Description

Some time ago, the distance of this galaxy to us was an unknown. Thanks to the discovering of Cepheid stars what allowed that measurement to be 7.3 million light years.

NGC55 and NGC300, both belonging to Sculptor galaxy's cluster, are gravitationally connected, due to its close distance.

It is interesting to note how NGC55 resemble our Large Magellanic Cloud.

A word about **REV 2**

I used a new multiresolution denoising and sharpening to get more details. Also the color saturation was improved, while the background noise was kept under control.
