Description

The other side of the coin is very nice too!

Who said that Jupiter is boring when you cannot see the GRS? When the seeing is good enough, we can get a multitude of interesting details in the different belts and lighter zones of Jupiter. February 3rd, 2014, 10h23 PM.

------

Sky-Watcher 8-inch Newtonian Telescope.

DBK21AU618.AS camera, Barlow 4X, UV/IR-cut filter, 60fps.

3000 frames stacked with AutoStakkert2!, Wavelets with IRIS.

Technical Note for amateur astrophotographers: I used a Baader UV/IR-cut/L filter (blocks UV below 400nm and IR above 680nm) This is decreasing the Bayer mosaic pattern which is produced during external debayering. I continue my attempts for achieving similar or better images without using a filter. Special thanks to Stefan Geissler (IC Imaging Control Support, The Imaging Source) for comments and advice.
