Description

This is NGC 2264 in SHO palette. I started imaging this last year with my Askar 130PHQ, but never finished it. Fortunately I was able to get back to it this December with the TOA-130\TOA-35 and Epsilon160ED and work out a final image. (I was able to finally add in RGB stars with the TOA-130 as well)

About NGC 2264:
"NGC 2264 is a notable astronomical object in the Monoceros constellation, roughly 2,600 light-years away from Earth. It encompasses the Christmas Tree Cluster, the Cone Nebula, and the Fox Fur Nebula. The Christmas Tree Cluster is an open cluster of stars arranged in a tree shape, while the Cone Nebula is a nearby pillar of gas and dust. The Fox Fur Nebula, with its intricate patterns, sits close by. This region is an important area for observing star formation, providing insights into the early stages of star life and the dynamics of stellar nurseries"
