Description

IC239 is a barred spiral galaxy (Sba) located in the Constellation Andromeda at an approximate distance of 40 Million Light-Years. It is a low surface brightness galaxy nestled among several bright foreground Milky Way stars, making it a difficult processing job. It has a magnitude of 11.4 and a surface brightness of 23.2. It has many young blue star blue star regions and ample HII (pink nebulae) areas.
