Description

Lower's Nebula, catalogued as Sh2-261 or LBN 863, is a large hydrogen emission nebula located in the constellation Orion. Its distance from Earth is estimated to be approximately 3,260 light years.

RGB data was captured from Big Stump in Kings Canyon National Park. Hydrogen data was captured from my backyard in Clovis, California.

This is Version 1, which is identical to Version 2 except that Version 2 uses 10-minute subs for the Ha frames instead of the 5-minute subs used in this version.
