Description

Here it is, just at the end.I knew that in the right place I could get something better than what I had done so far.So on September 8th I found a site clear of a few tenths of a degree on the horizon, in the wide bed of a river.Unfortunately this time the targeting was too precise on the comet's nucleus. And I sacrificed part of the comet's tail for very precious minutes of integration. The first shot (discarded) was acquired at 4.52 am (nine minutes after sunrise) with the comet at about 3° above the horizon; the last one at 5.42 with the comet at approximately 11°. on the horizon. I acquired 23 120" frames, and I integrated 15 of them, from 4.55 to 5.28 with the comet from 3.3 to 8.3 degrees. In short, a stroke of luck. With these numbers, which are decreasing, in the next few days and up to the 12th -13 I think that only instrumental observational activity remains; on the 15th the comet will rise with the sun, just a few degrees from our star.In the elaboration I referred to Adam Block's cometary processes, even if some peculiarities of the comet forced me to make some customizations.
