Description

NGC5702 in Libra is another one a bit off the beaten path. Classified as SB(rs)b which if I interpret correctly is a barred, ringed spiral in transition (unwinding)? I would guess this is what a galaxy like NGC1365 will look like in the future when it spins out - although n3792 displays on a flatter plane to us. Consensus estimates it around 81 MLY distant. There is not a lot of literature out there on this one. This was gathered over several nights over the last month as this one does not get very high in the sky here. Seeing ranged from good (low 2s one night) to mostly not so good (mid 3s)

Original image= unprocessed Lum stack

Image B has lighter black point

Lum 58 x 600 1x1

RGB 24 x 300 each 2x2

HA 12 x1 200 1x1 45% red channel, really had very little effect on the image

Thanks,

John D
