Lagoon and Trifid nebulas, imaged from a dark site in eastern Colorado, about 30 minutes out of the Denver metro area. Sky darkness was around 21.4mag/sq"...not the best dark site in the world, but significantly better than imaging with heavy LP from my red zone back yard.
I have several versions here. The original was my first pass at processing, and lacked any meaningful star reduction or color and detail enhancement. Versions B, C, and D include detail enhancement and one, two, or three passes of MT star reduction in PI, respectively.
Version E: Dust lane and detail enhancement.
