Description

This is my first ever long run of M57 from a dark site at 2800mm F10. From 36 subs at 60 seconds each unguided without an autoguider for imaging at the current time. I am amazed at how much more detail is available at a dark location. Imaged on 061615 at 0700 UTC with Canon 6D Huetch camera.

The location was an OHV Park in Heppner Oregon 4,000 feet up in The Blue Mountains. You can see the partial Milky Way from the camp site. The sky was extremely transparent and great seeing. almost a perfect 9 out of 10 in both catagories.

What surprised me was IC 1296 a faint barb spiral galaxy at a mag. of 14.6 showing detail. I could never image this IC from my home location.
