Description

M8 sort of looks like a lake (lagoon) in small telescopes. Imaging it shows much more nebulosity and dark dust areas.

This image was made on a monochrome SBIG camera, using Red, Green, Blue, Ha, and Luminance filters. RGB times were 9 at 15 seconds each. L was 9 at 10 seconds each, and Ha was 9 at 2 5 seconds each. Ha and R were combined into the R channel.

This is my first attempt at M8 and I will probably come up with better images in the future.
