Description

After almost 4 years of ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY, I succeeded for the first time
to immortalize one of my favorite galaxies. Considering that I manage to capture it for just under 2 hours per evening (between the upstairs balcony and the neighbor's veranda) I am fully satisfied!
The Triangulum Galaxy, also known as M33 (object number 33 in Charles Messier's catalogue) and NGC 598, is an SA(s)cd-type spiral galaxy about 2.88 ± 0.90 million distant light years from Earth and is located in the constellation Triangulum.
The Triangulum Galaxy is the second closest non-dwarf galaxy to the Milky Way after the Andromeda Galaxy.
M33 was the targeted study object to test a new observation technology, developed specifically for the Webb Space Telescope, based on thousands of individually operable micro-shutters to sample individual celestial objects.
(The Shi'ar alien race, present in Marvel Comics, is native to the Triangle Galaxy)
