The Veil nebula is an intricate system of diffuse nebulae visible even through binoculars in the constellation Cygnus, provided the sky is very dark.The nebula is the ancient remnant of a supernova that exploded thousands of years ago (between 10,000 and 20,000). Today more or less luminous filaments remain in three main groups: NGC 6960 to the west, where the brilliant star 52 Cygni appears, the second, a little further east, composed of two groups of nebulae: NGC 6974 and NGC 6979, and the last to the east composed of three sections NGC 6992, 6995, and IC 1340, mirror oriented with respect to the other two.It is believed that in a few thousand years this wonderful nebula will dissolve.Its average distance is around 1,500 light years from us.Acquisition data:Askar Fra 500 mm / F 5.6 telescopeHa channel 3nm: 67 x 900 sec.3nm O3 channel: 52 x 900 sec.RGB 150 x 180 sec.Chamber ASI ZWO 6200 MMNGC 6960 – NEBULOSA VELO La nebulosa Velo, è un intricato sistema di nebulose diffuse visibili anche attraverso un binocolo nella costellazione del Cigno, purché il cielo sia molto buio.La nebulosa è l’antico resto di una supernova esplosa migliaia di anni fa ( tra 10.000 e 20.000). Oggi restano dei filamenti più o meno luminosi in tre gruppi principali: NGC 6960 ad Ovest, dove compare la brillante stella 52 Cygni, il secondo, poco più ad est composto da due gruppi di nebulose: NGC 6974 e NGC 6979, e l’ultimo ad est composto da tre sezioni NGC 6992, 6995, e IC 1340, orientato in modo speculare rispetto agli altri due.Si ritiene che tra qualche migliaio di anni questa meravigliosa nebulosa si dissolverà.La sua distanza media si aggira intorno ai 1.500 anni luce da noi.Dati di acquisizione:Telescopio Askar Fra 500 mm / F 5.6
