Description

The Jellyfish Nebula (IC 443) is a supernova remnant in the constellation Gemini. It is likely the result of a star exploding 3,000-30,000 years ago and it is roughly 5,000 light years from Earth.

This is a narrowband image consisting of 23.5 hours of exposure under Bortle 6 skies through S-II, H-alpha, and O-III filters with my ASI1600MM Pro camera on my William Optics Zenithstar 73 refractor. I used the classic Hubble "SHO" palette (S=red, H=green, O=blue) to color the image.
