Description

NGC 2403 is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis. Its an outlying member of the M81 group and is about 10 million light-years away. It is similar to M33 in size, being about 50,000 light years in diameter, and it contains many star-forming Hydrogen regions, the largest of which is NGC 2404. NGC 2404 is about 940 light-years in diameter, making it one of the largest known Hydrogen regions.
