Description

Messier 15 is a massive, compact globular cluster in the constellation of Pegasus on the border with the constellation of Full. It is extremely interesting for both amateur and professional astronomers. It is particularly dense in the core, has many RR Lyra variables, an extragalactic PN and probably even an intermediate mass black hole "IMBH" in the center. In addition, it lies in a direction of high density of interstellar dust, allowing astrophotographers to fill the field of view even at shorter focal lengths. For me, it is the most beautiful of all globular clusters in the northern hemisphere.
