Description

This is my first attempt at the Crescent Nebula, also known as NGC6888. It is an emission nebula located in the Constellation of Cygnus about 5000 light years away. It is a 10 minutes single shot. Despite using a very small telescope, I am very pleased with this result. Great number of young stars in this region.Next time I will use a larger aperture telescope.

I used my Orion EQ-G Atlas mount

Orion Eon 80 mm APO doublet refractor

QHY9C CCD camera.

10 minutes single shot.

Kwik Guding system with qhy5v guiding camera.

Nebulosity software

Corel Paint Pro Shop 6X

Location. Baden Observatory, Baden, Ontario
