I have not been posting images for a while as I have been rather busy - building an observatory. It took rather longer than I thought it would being 11 months since I started the pier foundations. But it's worth it, now I can get imaging a lot faster and be protected from the wind as well as allowing me to stay warm while imaging.
This image, the Cave Nebula is my first light from the observatory.
I am really surprised how well this has turned out as I live in light polluted Manchester, UK and I have only used R, G & B filters. I was also going to take Ha subs, but I don't think I need to. The average SQM reading was 18.7.
The actual sub exposures over 3 nights were:
Red 6x300s bin 2x2 + 9x600s bin 1x1
Green 5x300s bin 2x2 + 10x600s bin 1x1
Blue 3x300s bin 2x2 + 9x600s bin 1x1
The updated version is the same image with a different border which is now the format I intend to keep.
