Description

Captured on 12-OCT and 18-OCT-2015, this galaxy is indeed a convoluted and twisted mess. I really tried to visualize what I'm looking at here, but it literally appears to be tied in a knot. NGC 2146 is classified as a barred spiral and the dust lane visible is apparently one of the arms bent at nearly a 45 degree angle and obscuring our view to the core.

Interesting to look at, nonetheless.
