Description

This is the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) passing close to Saturn.

The aim was to get it transiting across Saturn but with 3 day old TLE satellite data I was going to need quite a bit of luck.

For the initial prediction I use Heavens-Above website then a combination of Stellarium and Google Earth to find the best shooting location. In this case, after post-shooting analysis, I was located about 65 metres away from the perfect location.

I shot the main video in mono then took the R,G & B video after to produce the colour image of Saturn. There was no chance of getting any detail in the HST due to the large difference in brightness between it and Saturn.
