The vicinity of Bode's Nebulae contains very rich background dust information. DSW's 900s lights caught quite some of it. This image is trying to reveal this information while to protect the delicate nebulae at the same time, including the small NGC 3077.
Version B did a Repaired HSV and a minor color balance
Version C combines R, G and B to form a luminance of about one third of 600s exposure, which was used to form an HDR combination with the 900s luminance exposures. No HSV repair anymore. All star cores now look solid.
Version D is just a (star-)masked Unsharp Mask.
