Description

SHO soul nebula

41x1800' SII = 20.5h
25x1800' Ha = 12.5h
17x1800' OIII = 8.5h

i messed up the framing on this one - thought there was more to see beyond the left edge of the nebula there, but there's not too much and it felt imbalanced, so i've cropped down to a strip showing the more interesting stuff. that was dumb.

did battle with magenta/red stars owing to significantly higher FHWM in the SII and OIII channels, but was unable to completely eliminate red halos...

edit: i think i hit an astrobin bug. i had uploaded this as a work in progress, then decided i didn't like how the jpeg looked, so i increased the contrast and uploaded a revision. then i marked the new one as final, and deleted the original. however, after promoting the image to the public view, the non-solved version was still the original low contrast version. so i uploaded a revision but now i'm afraid to delete the original again :)
