Description

After 3 nights in a row of tweaking the less than impressive focuser of my new FSQ-106, running temperature compensation tests and then filter offsets... I needed to take a picture, badly!

I saw that the Heart was coming up low in the north so I took a quick shot at it.

Since it was only about an hour before the sky started to brighten before sunrise, I only had time for 4 15 minute subs... but the FSQ at f/3 is quite the photo sucker!

Clearly I need more subs to reduce the noise, but I am really impressed with how much this little pitbull of a scope can pull in in such a short time.

Once I this gets a little higher in the sky, I'm going to attempt a 4-panel mosaic to get the Soul nebula in there too.
