Description

This is my fourth attempt at NGC 2264. Last night was very cold and quite frosty. Fortunately, I have a dew heater on my secondary mirror, so that kept things working. The guiding was not great last night, therefore I'm not very happy with the stars. With that said, this is only 2 hours and 40 minutes of integration, so the amount of detail and contrast for that duration of time is pretty nice.

I purposely flipped this image so that the Christmas Tree was right side up, with the Cone Nebula at the top.

Description: I reprocessed this image. In addition to having the black point set too high, I completely over saturated it. This is much more representative of the actual image.
