Description

NGC 7000 North American Nebula taken with iTelescope T14. Image rotated and cropped to better show the Cygnus Wall and IC 5070 (Pelican Nebula).

Taken in April / May 2016

Final data consisted of:

- Ha: 6 * 10 mins

- OIII: 7 * 10 mins at bin 2

- SII: 7 * 10 mins at bin 2

Processing of the data was achieved with PixInsight, LightRoom and Photoshop. As the sulphur and oxygen signals were weak, the signals were 'boosted' using software binning (summing groups of pixels). Assignment of colors done with Hubble Color Palette: SII mapped to red, Ha mapped to Green and OIII mapped to blue.

- FixFITS: remove bright vertical line which were faults in the CCD.

- PixInsight: Cosmetic Correction, Star Alignnment, Image Integration, RGB combination, Background Neutralization, stretching, Noise Reduction using ACDNR.

- LightRoom: Color and level adjustment
