M13, also known as the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, is a globular cluster of about 300,000 stars in the constellation Hercules.

A globular cluster is a spherical collection of stars that are tightly bound by gravity and orbit a galactic core as a satellite.

M13 has a diameter of about 170 light-years and is at a distance of 22,000 light-years from Earth.
